Warning: Hibernating Bears can be extremely dangerous, do not ever approach a sleeping bear and please…
Do not ever feed a bear. I know it’s cute when they eat your human food, but all you’re doing is training the bear
to think it’s OK to eat from humans and this will only cause the bear harm in the end.

  1. i think Apollo will come back every day for the rest of this year because ive heard that bears stay in the same den that the make after their parrents cast them out but i might be wrong i am a student at rham middle school and i have been watching him all winter

  2. Thanks Bryson. Wouldn’t it be fun to observe this special bear all summer! Well, we’ll all have to watch and see. It is a safe place for him, and would be cool in the hot summer. Thanks to you all from Rham Middle School for being such ardent Apollo fans.
Did Mrs. Donato tell you my “bear word” for the day….pulchritudinous bruin?

  5. I really enjoyed watching Apollo this spring. I missed his exit from the den but hope he has a safe summer and we all get to see him in the fall 2010. This is a great thing you have accomplished Stephanie, for a grad of ’75.
